Levels of Rating
The Central Aid Agency classifies personnel into different categories based on their level of participation in the organization and the amount of responsibility, these are called Ratings. Not all C.A.A. personnel are Rated, some who are contracted or volunteer with specific programs may not be. Rated personnel are defined as those that have been sworn in by taking the Oath of Service (see bottom of this page) and are bound by the Code of Conduct. Rated personnel wear uniforms and are assigned ranks. The Central Aid Agency collectively refers to all personnel as "Aiders" and all Rated personnel as Troopers, however specific roles and rank system subsets may go by other names as well. Because the Central Aid Agency is a faith based organization, some Rating Levels have faith requirements that personnel in those positions must adhere to. The Levels of Rating are closely related to the Rank System.
Rated Personnel
Commissioned Board Officers (CO)
A Board Officer is a member of the Board of Directors and charged with top-level decision making, including the leadership of Primary Commands. Board Officers must be selected from personnel who already hold a Commissioned Officer Rating, or others with pre-existing qualifications for leadership. Board Officers must be devoted followers of Jesus.
Commissioned Officers (CO)
A Commissioned Officer is a senior member of Command Staff charged with managerial leadership roles and decision making. Officers must be Commissioned from personnel who already hold a Certified Trooper or NCO Rating, or others with pre-existing qualifications for leadership. Commissioned Officers must be followers of Jesus.
Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO)
Non-Commissioned Officers or NCO’s, are junior members of Command Staff charged with supervisory leadership roles. These personnel are low enough in rank they do not receive Officer Commissions, but do play a key role in the Chain of Command. NCO's do not have to be believers, but cannot be openly in opposition to God.
Certified Troopers (CT)
A Certified Trooper is the basic membership Rating in the C.A.A. Certified Troopers are assigned a rank and operating number, and have full membership rights and access. Certified Troopers do not have a specific faith requirement, but are still bound by the Code of Conduct.
Certified Cadets (CC)
A Certified Cadet is the basic membership Rating in the C.A.A. for youth aged 14-21. Certified Cadets are assigned a rank and operating number, and have full membership rights and access.
