Air Operations

Air Operations Emblem

Air Operations is a Branch of Vehicles, Facilities, Assets, and Capabilities (VFAC) whose mission is to provide air and flight capability, logistics, and support.  Air Operations also provides management and standards for related personnel, resources, capabilities, and infrastructure in support of C.A.A. operations.

Air Operations Team 1

Air Operations Team 1 is a unit whose mission is to provide air and ground crew in support of the Oregon Disaster Airlift Response Team (ODART) organization, and C.A.A. air operations in general.  The unit has a second primary mission of providing unmanned aerial system (UAS) capability to support Emergency Response Force 1 and the Central Aid Agency at large.  The unit is part of ERF1, but can operate as a separate independent detachment to support other agency operations and partners as needed or assigned.

Uniforms of Air Operations

Air Operations primarily wears uniforms in Navy Blue (Color Type 1, with red T-shirts for personnel assigned or attached to Emergency Response Force 1), but also wears Coyote (Color Type 2) for hot weather and wilderness-focused units.  Uniforms commonly worn by Air Operations include:

Air Operations Service Dress Uniform Class A

Air Operations Service Dress Uniform Class B

Responder Garrison Uniform Class C

Responder Utility Uniform Class C

Administrative Uniform Class C

Field Basic Service Uniform Class E (When participating in Community Service activities)

Physical Training Uniforms Class E

Because Air Operations units are usually deployable, they typically require Type 4 or greater hygiene and appearance requirements when in full uniform.
