Communications
The primary mission of Team 1 is being an emergency communications resource for C.A.A. field units. Radio interoperability and communications are a key aspects of disaster response. To address this need, Team 1 maintains HAM radio communications capability and is able to provide base communications operators for C.A.A. field units.
Additionally, communications personnel can act as communications liaisons between the C.A.A. and other responding agencies within a command post if direct radio interoperability is impossible.
Radio operators are HAM radio certified. They are trained to maintain communications logs, as well as effectively transmit and document orders and information.

Units tasked with IMOS operations are deployed to incident scenes to staff command posts, assist incident command, help with the administration of incidents, and provide communications capability.
